Title: What about the dry land?
Post by: moorer98 on July 10, 2012, 09:12:19 AM
So, maybe this is yet another dumb novice question, but do you need to add data to the NoData (aka not a wetland) areas on the NWI data layer?  In my reading of the forum and tech docs it seems like this is taken care of by using the impervious data layer, but I just wanted to make sure that I did not have to do something else to the NWI data.

Thanks,

Rich

It is my understanding that blank areas that should be designated as dry land need to be designated as one of the two dry land categories before loading the raster into SLAMM.  Then the impervious layer will help differentiate which is developed and which is undeveloped dry land.

Hope this helps -- Jonathan
