Title: Getting the layers to line up?
Post by: moorer98 on July 08, 2012, 10:44:19 PM
So, i have come up with another novice question.

I have all my layers in USA_CONTIGUOUS_ALBERS_EQUAL_AREA_CONIC and i have an output for a test area now for all five layers(DEM, DIK, IMP, SLP, NWI)  with the same number of rows and columns but the start point is a little different for each one.

Is it ok if I tweak the ASCII file start corner by less than a meter for the sake of uniformity?

What is the best course of action?

Thank you,

Rich

Hi,
if your cell size is significantly bigger than a meter, there should be no problem to reset the starting corner. The projections will be affected very little by this shift.

Hope it helps,
